Common Questions and Answers-
Does The Barn Antiques have a layaway program?
Yes. The Barn's layaway program allows you to spread the payments on your antique purchases over three months. A quarter of the total price of the items for layaway is due when you put the piece on layaway, then another quarter is payable every month for the next three months. We will hold your piece in our warehouses during this time. -
Does The Barn Antiques sell gift certificates?
Yes. We're happy to accommodate gift cards in any dollar amount, with no expiration date. If you'd like, you can purchase your cards by phone during business hours. Of course, any of our friendly staff will also be happy to assist you in person. -
Is the Barn open for holidays?
The Barn is open every Tuesday through Saturday, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. -
Do you accept returns?
All sales are final, except in special circumstances which you may discuss with our staff before you make your purchases. -
Can kids enjoy the Barn?
Well-behaved children are always welcome at the Barn. We have a dock overlooking a pond with a variety of wildlife, and many children enjoy feeding the fish from the dock. -
How can I get my purchases home?
The Barn always has friendly staff available to pack your antique purchases and load them into your vehicle for you. We are happy to share with you information about several local U-Haul rental locations and shippers who are able to offer out-of-state and long-distance packing, shipping, and transport services. We do not, though, offer shipping services directly. -
Are there other shops nearby?
Lake Alfred, a four mile drive from the Barn, is home to a number of small antique-and-collectible stores and tearooms, although we're sure that you'll find plenty of shopping at the Barn to fill a day.
